The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in gold and silver prices across the domestic market, cutting gold ornament prices by up to BDT 1,691 per bhori (VAT inclusive).
According to a official press release issued by BAJUS on Saturday (September 26, 2026), the new price rate went into effect at 10:00 AM following a decision taken during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. Under the revised tariff structure, high-grade 22-karat gold (11.664 grams) is now priced at BDT 232,930 per bhori, down from BDT 234,621 recorded on Friday. Similarly, 21-karat gold has been set at BDT 222,491 per bhori, 18-karat gold at BDT 191,056 per bhori, and traditional method gold at BDT 156,064 per bhori. Silver prices were adjusted downwards in tandem, with 22-karat silver now selling at BDT 4,841 per bhori, 21-karat at BDT 4,607, 18-karat at BDT 3,966, and traditional silver at BDT 3,033 per bhori.
