Following three consecutive drops, gold prices have once again seen an upward revision in the local market, with the Bangladesh Jeweller Association (BAJUS) increasing the price per bhori by BDT 1,050.
According to the latest tariff adjustment, the price of premium 22-carat gold has been set at BDT 2,32,930 per bhori (11.664 grams). BAJUS officials stated that the hike was necessitated by an increase in the price of refined (tejaabi) gold in the local market. Under the new pricing structure, 21-carat gold is priced at BDT 2,22,491 per bhori, 18-carat gold at BDT 1,91,056 per bhori, and traditional method gold is valued at BDT 1,56,064 per bhori.
