The Metropolitan BNP staged a protest procession and rally in Rangpur against attempts to destabilize the country through planned terrorism. On Monday (September 28) afternoon, a protest procession set out from the party office and paraded through the important roads of the city. Afterwards, a rally was held in front of the party office, presided over by Metropolitan BNP Convener Shamsuzzaman Samu.
Speakers at the rally included Reserved Female Member of Parliament Adv. Rezeka Sultana Fancy, Metropolitan BNP Member Secretary Adv. Mahfuz Un-Nabi Don, and others.
The speakers said that following the July uprising of '24, the head of the Awami League government fled the country. The BNP has formed the government through an election. At a time when Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is carrying out development work across the country, the current opposition party is giving the Awami League an opportunity to conduct its activities by destabilizing the nation. Taking advantage of this, the Awami League is planning sabotage across the country. During the rally, BNP leaders and activists vowed to resist anti-state elements alongside the people.
