An exchange meeting with rural physicians was held on Wednesday morning (September 30, 2026) at the modern Progoti Hospital and Diagnostic Center, located near the Bishwa Road in Dhiar Sahapur under Sahapur union of Ishwardi upazila, Pabna. Held under the overall supervision of Progoti's Chairman Md. Rahul Ahammod and presided over by Managing Director Md. Rajibul Islam, the meeting featured speeches from Ishwardi Rural Physicians Association President Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman, General Secretary Dr. Md. Shafikul Islam, Resident Medical Officer Dr. Munna Kumar Roy, Dr. Sayem Hossain, and Shahriyar Islam Rupam, among others.

Addressing the gathering of over a hundred rural physicians, Managing Director Md. Rajibul Islam explained that the hospital was initially established with experienced doctors and state-of-the-art equipment exclusively to treat Russian nationals working at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Project. However, this restriction had caused deep resentment among local residents. To resolve this grievance, the management has officially decided to extend healthcare services to local people as well, and urged the rural doctors to spread this good news to remote areas. The event concluded with a hosted midday meal.
