District police arrested 14 leaders and activists, including banned Sujanagar Upazila Awami League President and former chairman Abdul Wahab, during a joint operation on Wednesday morning (September 30). Acting on a tip-off about a planned major sabotage and subsequent escape to India to meet ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasan, police intercepted them near Indira Mor on Abdul Hamid Road in Pabna town, seizing hand bombs and native weapons.

Wahab, who has faced multiple arrests since August 5, 2025, and previously escaped police custody, was sent to court under a sabotage case.
