An exhibition football match was held at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium (Munshiganj District Stadium) to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
Organized by the Munshiganj district administration on Saturday (November 7) afternoon, the thrilling football match witnessed Munshiganj Municipality defeating Mirkadim Municipality by a 2-0 margin.
Presided over by Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Syeda Nurmohal Ashrafi, the event featured Superintendent of Police Md. Menhajul Alam, PPM, as a special guest.

Nur Hossain Nirjhor, Munshiganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Golam Mostafa, along with government officials, teachers, students, print and electronic media journalists, and enthusiastic spectators. The Deputy Commissioner congratulated both the winning and losing teams and thanked the audience for enjoying the competitive match.
Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony—the concluding event of the day-long program—the Deputy Commissioner stated, "With the vision of 'Sports as a profession, families will find security', the government has undertaken initiatives to establish sports professionally. Besides keeping individuals physically fit, sports play an immense role in fostering discipline, tolerance, mutual cooperation, and human values."
Syeda Nurmohal Ashrafi expressed her gratitude to all players, organizers, police personnel including the Superintendent of Police, and government officials for their sincere cooperation, while also thanking the residents of Munshiganj for their support in successfully completing the national day programs.
