Police in Sreebordi, Sherpur, arrested two individuals following a complaint filed by victim Araf Al Behesthi Haq alias Rinku regarding the malicious destruction of approximately 400 fruit-bearing banana trees and companion vegetable crops on a 30-decimal land tract in West Bilborat village.
The incident occurred around 1:00 AM on September 23, allegedly stemming from a long-standing land feud involving local resident Solaiman Molla and his associates.
Complainant Rinku alleged that when he and his wife rushed to the garden upon hearing of the destruction, the perpetrators threatened and chased them away.
Sreebordi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nurul Alam confirmed that a formal case has been registered, two primary suspects—Mehedi Hasan Prince and Khoka Mia—have been arrested, and drives are underway to apprehend the remaining accused.
