A freshers' reception, guardian gathering, and farewell ceremony were held at the "Rajar Vita Islamia Fazil (Degree) Madrasah" in Chilmari, Kurigram. The event took place on Thursday (September 24) around 11:00 AM in the conference room of the madrasah, presided over by the madrasah's principal, Dr. Maulana Minhajul Islam. The program featured the inaugural classes for first-year Alim students, the freshers' reception, and a sabok (commencement) ceremony for the newly admitted students of the 2026-2027 academic year, welcoming them with flowers. The sabok ceremony was conducted by the madrasah's vice-principal, Maulana Yunus Ali.
District Assistant Education Officer Abdul Hai Siddique attended the event as the chief guest. The program was hosted by Maulana Ziaur Rahman, Lecturer in Arabic. Other notable attendees included Assistant Professor of Bengali Nurul Haq, Assistant Professor of English Asma Khatun, Lecturer in Arabic Abu Akhtar, and Assistant Teacher (ICT) Taiyub Rahman, among others. During the guardian gathering, discussions focused on ensuring student attendance, improving educational quality, and character building, with guardians expressing their commitment to cooperate. Maulana Abdul Jabbar Faruki spoke on behalf of the guardians.
A significant part of the event was dedicated to celebrating the glorious 40-year career of retiring primary section teacher Abu Sayed. Discussions recalled his diverse memories, classroom teaching, interactions in the teachers' lounge, and pleasant demeanor across the madrasah premises, leaving teachers deeply emotional. At the end of the ceremony, teachers and staff handed over a farewell crest and gift items to retiring teacher Maulana Abu Sayed. Demonstrating a rare gesture of affection, teachers and staff of the madrasah escorted the departing teacher to his home in a motorcycle procession.
