KERANIGANJ — A 24-year-old youth named Farhad Hossain was hacked to death at a salon in Arshinagar on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Witnesses said attackers struck inside the shop around 3pm and fled the scene. Locals rushed the critically injured youth to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police suspect the killing may be linked to an extortion or drug-spot feud in the area. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses.
A case was being prepared at the local police station. Drives are underway to arrest those involved, police said.
