A memorial meeting was held at the local Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) office on Monday morning to honor the late Abdul Jabbar Pramanik, President of the Parbatipur Upazila branch of Bangladesh JSD and a valiant freedom fighter.
Nazmul Haque Prodhan, General Secretary of the central committee of Bangladesh JSD and a former Member of Parliament, attended the meeting as the chief guest. Presided over by Upazila JSD Treasurer Abul Kasem, the event featured Upazila CPB President Hafizar Rahman, District JSD General Secretary Abdur Razzak Chowdhury, and member Ahsan Ullah Master as special guests. The program was hosted by Upazila JSD General Secretary Muslimur Rahman.
While reminiscing about the political life and imprisonment of the late Jabbar Pramanik, Nazmul Haque Prodhan became visibly emotional. The meeting commenced with a one-minute silence observed in memory of the deceased leader. Following the memorial service, the guests visited Jharuar Danga and Choitar Par to offer prayers at the late leader's grave. Afterwards, Nazmul Haque Prodhan departed for Dhaka, accompanied by former Dinajpur student leader Hannan Chowdhury.
