National Youth Day was observed with various programs in Atgharia upazila of Pabna under the inspiring theme "Skilled Youth Will Build the Country, Bangladesh for All". Marking the occasion, a colorful rally was brought out from the upazila premises in the morning, which paraded through the main roads of Debottar Bazar before concluding at the Upazila Conference Room, where a discussion meeting and the distribution of youth loan checks took place.
On Sunday (November 1), the event was organized jointly by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Youth Development at the Upazila Conference Room, with Atgharia Upazila Nirbahi Officer Tahmidul Islam presiding over the session.
Moderated by Atgharia Upazila Youth Development Officer Abdul Halim, the meeting featured speeches from Upazila BNP Member Secretary Monowar Hossain Alam, Upazila Fisheries Officer SM Nazim Uddin, and youth representative Tariq Hossain, among others.

Upazila Youth Development Officer Abdul Halim stated that the objective is to harness the talent, creativity, and work capacity of the youth in the country's development and advancement. The day is observed annually to highlight the importance of empowering the youth with skills, creating employment opportunities, encouraging self-employment, and fostering young entrepreneurs, he added.
Atgharia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tahmidul Islam remarked that unity among political parties and the public is essential for building a prosperous Bangladesh. Harnessing their skills and working capacity can make a significant contribution to the national economy, he noted. To achieve this, emphasis is being placed on ensuring quality education, timely technical training, and adequate employment opportunities.
He further stated that initiatives must be taken to shape youth not merely as job seekers, but as job-creating entrepreneurs. Fostering their talent, innovative capacity, and leadership development will enable them to play a more effective role in the nation's progress, he concluded.
