More than five hundred helpless and underprivileged people received free medical services through an initiative organized by the Badorpasha Union branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Rajoir upazila, funded by expatriate Zahirul Islam.
The free medical camp was inaugurated on Saturday (September 19) at 9:00 AM at the residence of expatriate Zahirul Islam in Pathankandi village of Badorpasha union by Rajoir Upazila Jamaat Ameer Assistant Professor Ali Ahmed Akon.
Presided over by Badorpasha Union Jamaat-e-Islami President Motiur Rahman Mia, the event featured Upazila Ameer Ali Ahmed Akon as the chief guest. In his speech, he said, "Just as electricity has reached every household in our country, medical services must also be extended to every home. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is working towards that goal. If Jamaat-e-Islami comes to power, we will deliver free healthcare right to the people's doorsteps."
Special guests at the inaugural ceremony included Upazila Jamaat Naib-e-Ameer Master Nazrul Islam, Rajoir Upazila Reporters Unit President Fayzur Rahman Mamun, and Mofassal Journalist Forum President SM Ferdous Hossain. Specialist doctors from Dhaka Medical College and BIRDEM provided free medical treatment and medicines to residents of Badorpasha and Ishibpur areas from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Around five hundred patients from the locality received free treatment at the camp, drawing widespread appreciation from residents for this charitable initiative.
