The office of the private healthcare institution Radda MCH-FP Center in Mirpur Section-1, Dhaka, was allegedly demolished overnight. Last Thursday midnight,
heavy machinery was used to tear down one brick-built and three semi-pucca buildings. The institution reported that various supplies and vaccination equipment were also looted during the incident. Radda's Executive Director, Nasrin Akhter,
filed a case at Shah Ali Police Station, naming local BNP leader Hanif Mia alongside 200 to 250 unnamed individuals. The charges include trespassing, theft, threats, and damages exceeding 1.5 crore Taka. While local traders alleged a land dispute prompted the attack under Hanif Mia's leadership, Hanif Mia denied any involvement. Police confirmed the case and stated that investigations and legal actions are underway.
