Rashed Khan, serving with the rank of Assistant (Political) Secretary to the Prime Minister, participated in an interactive meeting with teachers, students, and guardians, and took part in a tree plantation program at the Pirganj Mohila Degree College in Rangpur.
He delivered his speech as the chief guest at the event held on Friday morning on the college premises. The program was presided over by Rangpur District BNP Convener, Rangpur District Council Administrator, and Pirganj Mohila Degree College President Saiful Islam.
The event also featured speeches by Pirganj Upazila BNP President Mahmudun Nabi Chowdhury Palash, General Secretary Zakir Hossain, and Pirganj Mohila Degree College Principal Mustafizur Rahman, alongside other teachers and local leaders.
In his address, Rashed Khan emphasized the necessity of ensuring modern, quality education for students while instilling moral values and patriotism within them. He urged teachers, students, guardians, and all stakeholders to play a responsible role in keeping educational environments clean and green, encouraging students to actively step forward in environmental conservation alongside their academic pursuits.
He further noted that there is no alternative to tree plantation and environmental preservation in order to build a beautiful and habitable Bangladesh. He stressed the importance of planting more trees across educational institutions and ensuring their proper care. Following his speech, the chief guest distributed saplings among the college students.
Later in the day, Rashed Khan visited Babunpur village in Madankhali union of Pirganj upazila to offer Ziarat at the grave of July uprising martyr Abu Sayed and inspected the Shaheed Abu Sayed Foundation.
Concluding his itinerary in the afternoon, he visited the Al Jamiatul Islamia Madinatul Ulum Jamtala Madrasa in Pirganj. He exchanged greetings with the institution's director, teachers, and students, and inquired about various administrative and academic matters. Leaders of the Rangpur district and Pirganj upazila BNP accompanied him throughout these programs.
