State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Chowdhury, MP, has issued a stern directive to swiftly bring drug dealers, gamblers, and identified terrorists of banned organizations under the law in Nandail, Mymensingh. He explicitly declared that no designated drug dealer will be allowed to remain in Nandail.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a special meeting of the Upazila Law and Order Committee held at the upazila administrative auditorium on Tuesday (September 22) afternoon.

The State Minister further instructed the administration to take prompt legal action against fake social media accounts tarnishing Nandail's reputation through propaganda. Simultaneously, he directed authorities to take strict measures against those creating artificial fertilizer crises for agricultural products and urged journalists to refrain from publishing false or misleading information.

Addressing the political context, the State Minister remarked that unfairly implicating the BNP en masse for incidents like torching a couple of buses is unwarranted, emphasizing that political opposition will be tackled politically. He called upon party activists and leaders to remain active in the field and highlight the government's various development initiatives to the public.
