A man named Md. Zahidul Biswas (47) was killed following a clash with his nephews over the construction of a house staircase in Biswaspara village of Dumain union under Madhukhali upazila, Faridpur. The incident occurred on Friday (September 25) around 11:00 AM. The deceased was the son of the late Badiul Alam Biswas of that village, while the accused nephews are Shakil Biswas (25) and Saimun Biswas (19), sons of Amod Ali Biswas.

According to locals, a dispute arose between the uncle and nephews regarding the construction of stairs, as Zahidul claimed the construction encroached on his land and would obstruct his movement. Following a heated argument, an altercation ensued during which Zahidul allegedly struck nephew Shakil Biswas on the head with a spade. In retaliation, Shakil and Saimun struck Zahidul on the head, causing him to collapse on the spot. Locals rescued him and took him to Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty physician, Dr. Mohammad Sohel Rana, declared him dead.
