According to the revised circular issued on Wednesday (September 23, 2026), the ministry originally received online applications via the MyGov platform between February 15 and April 16. However, the initial drive failed to yield the targeted number of eligible candidates, primarily due to limited digital access for applicants residing in remote, coastal, riverine (Char and Haor), and disadvantaged areas. Under the revised manual procedure, non-government general educational institutions can apply for repair works, furniture, sports gear, and library developments, while teachers and staff facing critical illnesses or unforeseen disasters are eligible for emergency financial assistance. Students from Grade 6 to postgraduate levels—with priority given to those with disabilities, terminal illnesses, orphans, underprivileged backgrounds, and third-gender identities—can also apply. Institution heads must verify and compile manual applications before forwarding them to respective Deputy Commissioner-led district committees. Scrutinized and recommended lists must reach the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division by 4:00 PM on October 15, 2026. Applicants who previously completed online submissions need not reapply.
