Uncertainty has arisen regarding the Durga Puja release of director Raihan Rafi's highly anticipated Bangladeshi film 'Andhar', as the production team maintains silence despite earlier announcements targeting an October theatrical debut.
Addressing rumors of a potential delay, director Raihan Rafi directed inquiries to the film's producers. Co-writer and producer Shakib Chowdhury stated on Monday that while an October release remains the official plan for now, the final date will be announced in due course. He emphasized that the post-production team is actively completing complex visual effects (VFX) work in Mumbai to avoid rushing the release and to ensure high quality for audiences.
Featuring a stellar cast including Siam Ahmed, Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Mostafa Monwar, Afsana Mimi, and Gazi Rakayet, 'Andhar' has generated significant public interest since the release of its poster and teaser. Additionally, a novelization of the film's story authored by Wasi Ahmed is set to be published by Afsar Brothers under the same title.
