Rajinikanth and Sreeleela Paired Together in Upcoming Film 'Dharman'
Production preparations for Ashwath Marimuthu's directorial venture Dharman starring Rajinikanth and Sreeleela.

A massive generational pairing is generating immense buzz in South Indian cinema. Legendary actor Rajinikanth and young actress Sreeleela—spanning an age gap of nearly 50 years—are set to star together in the upcoming movie Dharman. The film's production house officially confirmed Sreeleela's casting, releasing a special video welcome on social media.

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, Dharman marks the first collaboration between the filmmaker and Rajinikanth, as well as Sreeleela's first film sharing screen space with the legendary actor. Alongside the lead duo, the movie features an ensemble stellar cast including Simran, Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, and Raashii Khanna. Teasers indicate Rajinikanth may essay the role of a doctor, though promotional materials hint at a grey-shaded character described as 'Ketta Paiyan' (bad man).

Sreeleela has been rapidly expanding her footprint across South cinema following her Tamil debut earlier this year in Parasakthi, with upcoming roles in Dhanush's Om and Ajith Kumar's Daredevil. Dharman features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his continued collaboration with Rajinikanth following hits like Jailer and Vettaiyan. The film is slated for a theatrical release in April 2027.
