DHAKA — The Press Council has published a new code of conduct for digital newsrooms, requiring published corrections, named editors for every story, and disclosure when AI tools assist reporting.

Portals must now maintain public correction logs and respond to complaints within 72 hours or face listing as non-compliant.

Editors welcomed the clarity; small outlets asked for a support fund to meet the compliance costs.
