A mobile court has sentenced a candidate to three months of non-rigorous imprisonment for adopting unfair means using an electronic device during a recruitment examination for the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).

The incident occurred on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the University Women's Federation College examination center in Dhaka. Invigilators and security personnel identified the candidate caught red-handed using an illegal electronic device inside the exam hall. A mobile court operating on-site immediately conducted a summary trial and delivered the three-month prison sentence.
