The bodies of three children from the family of a local Awami League leader have been recovered in Shanthiganj upazila of Sunamganj. This tragic incident has cast a deep shadow of grief and created a stir throughout the entire area.
Police recovered the bodies of the children from their residence on Saturday night (September 19).
The deceased children are reported to be members of the local Awami League leader's family. According to police and local sources, extreme mental stress and frustration regarding family and surrounding matters had built up on the night of the incident, which is preliminarily suspected to have triggered this tragic occurrence.
Upon receiving the information, Shanthiganj police station personnel promptly rushed to the scene, recovered the bodies, and sent them to the Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police stated that a detailed investigation is underway to uncover the actual cause of the incident, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed once the autopsy report is available.
