During the meeting, Ambassador Yao Wen extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on his active participation and successful engagements at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. The discussions centered on expanding bilateral trade, bolstering foreign direct investment, advancing development cooperation, and addressing the ongoing Rohingya crisis alongside other mutual strategic interests. Reaffirming Beijing's commitment, Ambassador Yao stated that China will continue to support Bangladesh’s national development goals and expressed confidence in the further deepening of bilateral relations. State Minister-1 for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury were present at the meeting, while Deputy Chief of Mission Liu Yuin accompanied the Chinese Ambassador.
