Speaking at a discussion titled "State Reform and Constitutional Debate" held at the Tofazzal Hossain Manik Miah Hall of the National Press Club on Monday (September 28, 2026), Manna criticized the rising incidents of murder, sexual violence, attacks, unlawful arrests, and general insecurity. He highlighted the recent destruction of content creator Salman Muqtadir's studio in Dhaka as a prime example of administrative inaction, questioning the safety and livelihoods of ordinary citizens and workers affected by such incidents. Manna also cited the arrest of the Nagorik Oikya secretary in Shivganj Upazila and procedural delays in the local judiciary as evidence of institutional control. Furthermore, he raised concerns over economic pressures on the public, pointing out that domestic fuel prices were increased by BDT 20 per liter despite falling global oil prices and rising essential commodity costs.
