Former Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Apel Mahmud has been temporarily suspended from active service following departmental directives.

According to administrative sources, the suspension order was issued by the relevant authority in connection with pending disciplinary proceedings and allegations under review. The Home Ministry and police headquarters are expected to initiate formal departmental investigations into the matter as per service regulations.
