The recovery took place during a joint drive led by Mirpur Model Police Station with support from the SRU unit in front of Tanim Building near the Paikpara Ansar Camp. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Model Police Station, Md. Hafizur Rahman, confirmed that patrolling officers spotted cocktail-like objects and torch sticks wrapped in paper and market bags lying on the street. Upon searching, officers found 15 crude bombs packed inside three paper bags, five additional bombs lying exposed on the road, two bottles containing approximately two liters of kerosene, 41 arson torches, and gathered corksheet materials.

To ensure public safety, law enforcement officers transported the 20 crude bombs to an open ground inside an under-construction building compound of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works near Hakkani Gali in Kalyanpur, where they were safely detonated in two controlled phases. Police confirmed that formal legal proceedings and efforts to identify those responsible are currently underway.
