The storm center is generating continuous maximum sustained wind speeds of 89 km/h within 64 kilometers of its core, with gusts and squalls reaching up to 117 km/h. Sea conditions remain very rough near the cyclone's center. In response, BMD has instructed maritime authorities to hoist Distant Warning Signal No. 2 at all four major maritime ports of Bangladesh—Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra. All fishing boats and trawlers operating in the North Bay of Bengal have been advised to remain close to the coastline and navigate with extreme caution until further instructions.
