A four-year-old child named Ayesha met a tragic end when the wall of a mud house collapsed due to the severe tremor and impact of a lightning strike in Bhaluka, Mymensingh. The heartbreaking incident occurred on Sunday (September 6) morning in Dhitpur Union of the upazila. Deceased Ayesha was visiting her maternal grandparents' house with her mother.

According to local and police sources, heavy lightning strikes began across the area alongside sudden morning drizzle. At that time, Ayesha was staying indoors with family members at her grandparents' home in Dhitpur village. In the morning, a powerful lightning bolt struck near the courtyard or the house with a deafening sound. The severe vibration and intense shockwave caused a dilapidated mud wall of the room to suddenly collapse onto Ayesha.

Following the incident, family members and neighbors quickly rescued her and rushed her to the local health complex, where the on-duty doctor pronounced her dead. The sudden tragedy has cast a deep pall of grief over the child's family and the entire locality.

Confirming the incident, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhaluka Model Police Station stated that the child died after the mud wall collapsed from the tremor of the lightning strike. As the family lodged no complaints, the body was handed over to relatives following due legal procedures.
