The severity of dengue is continuously increasing in Satkhira, with 23 new dengue patients admitted to hospitals across the district in the last 24 hours. At the same time, due to the deterioration of their physical condition, 6 patients have been referred elsewhere for advanced treatment. According to the latest health department data, a total of 275 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in Satkhira this year up to September 9, while 46 patients are currently undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the district.

Health department data indicates that the number of dengue patients is rising rapidly, with new patients arriving daily at the district sadar and upazila hospitals. Due to the increasing number of patients, heightened precautions have been taken. Doctors have advised seeking immediate medical consultation and necessary tests if symptoms such as fever, headache, body ache, and pain behind the eyes appear.

Dr. Jayanta Kumar Sarkar, a physician at the Civil Surgeon's office of Satkhira Sadar Hospital, stated that new patients are continuously getting admitted with dengue fever. Urging everyone to be aware to curb the spread of dengue,

 he said that no stagnant water should be allowed to accumulate in houses and surrounding areas, and Aedes mosquito breeding grounds must be destroyed. The health department has urged everyone to remain cautious and aware to prevent dengue.
