Noted Drug Dealer Dulal and Associate Arrested with Yaba in Kuakata

Mohipur police station personnel arrested a noted drug dealer, Md. Dulal Howlader (38), along with his associate Md. Yusuf Howlader (25), carrying 14 pieces of Yaba tablets in Kuakata, Patuakhali. A Pulsar 150cc motorcycle used by them was also seized during the operation.

The arrest took place on Thursday (September 10) around 12:00 PM when a special police team led by Mohipur Police Station Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) Sheikh Firoz Alam conducted a drive near Hotel Sandy (Residential) in Ward No. 7 of Kuakata Municipality. Both arrestees are residents of Melapara area under Ward No. 4 of the municipality.

Police stated that acting on a tip-off, the special team intercepted Dulal and Yusuf on the paved road in front of an under-construction building and recovered 14 pieces of Yaba following a search. Police added that Dulal Howlader already faces three prior cases. A case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 has been filed against both arrestees, and they have been sent to court.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohipur Police Station stated that police maintain a zero-tolerance policy against drug dealers and that special drives will continue to bring all criminals to justice.
