According to The Indian Express, Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on September 11, followed by Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 12. Upon landing at the Palam Air Force Station, the leaders will proceed to designated luxury hotels in the high-security Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave. Advance security teams from both nations have already landed in the capital to review arrangements.
The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has been tasked with managing security for President Xi Jinping. For President Putin's venue, multi-shift security deployments led by officers of Additional Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner ranks have been posted, while all hotel staff have undergone background checks.
The 30,000-strong security contingent comprises roughly equal numbers of Delhi Police personnel and paramilitary forces. High-density security perimeters have been established around Indira Gandhi International Airport, primary delegate hotels, and the summit venue at Bharat Mandapam. Traffic authorities have conducted multiple full-dress rehearsals along designated VIP motorcade routes.
Accommodations for visiting heads of state and government have been arranged across distinct diplomatic hotels. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will stay at an isolated venue, while President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko are slated to share a hotel property. Russian President Vladimir Putin will share accommodations with VIP delegates from Bangladesh.
Heads of state and government are scheduled to arrive at Bharat Mandapam over Saturday and Sunday, with specialized traffic diversions implemented across major arterial corridors in Delhi to ensure unhindered transit for the delegations.
