Government to Stand Beside Entrepreneurs and Researchers, Says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman called upon patriotic citizens, business leaders, young entrepreneurs, and researchers from all walks of life to contribute toward building a prosperous nation, reassuring that the government will provide full support to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Prime Minister made the remarks on Saturday morning (September 12) while delivering his speech as the chief guest at the inauguration of the "Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026" at the Novo Theatre in Bijoy Sarani, Dhaka.

Seeking widespread cooperation in governance, Tarique Rahman emphasized that national transformation requires a collective effort. "To run the country effectively, we need everyone's cooperation," he said. "Let us work together to build the nation we aspire to achieve."

Praising the directional guidelines outlined by previous speakers, the Prime Minister specifically highlighted a presentation on innovation by Dr. Anisuzzaman. He noted that the concepts presented largely define the government’s upcoming action plan, adding that gradual implementation of these strategies will enable the nation to reach its targeted development goals.

Acknowledging the pivotal role played by innovators and the business community in national progress, Tarique Rahman asserted that creative problem-solving is crucial to meeting current governance challenges. He reiterated that the administration remains committed to assisting researchers and entrepreneurs through institutional support and resources.

Following his address, the Prime Minister formally declared the "Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026" open. High-ranking government officials, prominent trade representatives, domestic and international innovators, and researchers attended the ceremony.
