Senior leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Standing Committee Member, and Adviser to the Prime Minister Mirza Abbas has departed for Malaysia to undergo a routine medical examination.

He boarded a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight scheduled for departure from Dhaka to Malaysia at 11:45 AM on Wednesday (September 16).

According to party sources, Mirza Abbas is traveling on the advice of his medical board for routine follow-up consultations and health screenings. He is expected to return to Bangladesh promptly upon completion of the medical evaluations.

He is accompanied on the trip by his wife, Afroza Abbas. Family members and party leaders have requested prayers from the nation for his quick recovery and well-being.

The Dhaka-8 MP previously suffered a critical health crisis following the 13th National Parliamentary Election. He recently returned home on September 2 after undergoing nearly five and a half months of specialized medical treatment and physical rehabilitation in Singapore and Malaysia.
