City Bank has introduced a new premium card product, the "City Bank American Express Ultramarine Credit Card," designed to provide enhanced benefits across travel, retail shopping, and everyday lifestyle expenses.

The card features welcome cash-back offers up to Tk 10,000, 12 complimentary annual airport lounge visits, and exclusive dining privileges. Applications for the card will officially open on October 1.

The card was unveiled on Wednesday (September 16) during an inauguration ceremony at City Bank's head office in Dhaka. City Bank Chairman Hossain Khaled launched the card alongside Kurush Dastoor, Director of Global Network Services (South Asia & French Territories) at American Express Banking Corp., and Puneet Mathur, Senior Manager of Network Partnerships (South Asia).

Key Features and Travel Benefits

Cardholders can select from customized welcome rewards upon activating the card, alongside standard international transaction and travel privileges:

• Welcome Benefits: Choice between a 5% cash-back offer up to Tk 10,000 on qualifying retail transactions during the first three months of card activation, or a travel luggage voucher valued at Tk 5,000.

• Lounge Access: Complimentary access for the primary cardholder and up to two accompanying guests at City Bank American Express international and domestic lounges at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Includes 12 complimentary annual visits to participating Priority Pass lounges worldwide, shareable with accompanying guests.

• Airport and Travel Privileges: Zero cash withdrawal fees at international ATMs, complimentary "Meet & Greet" services for primary cardholders and two guests at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and specialized travel insurance and baggage benefits when booking international flights via GoZayaan.

• Reward Points Accumulation: Earns 3 Membership Rewards points for every Tk 100 or $1 spent. Accumulated points can be redeemed for gift vouchers, annual fee waivers, or cash-plus-points transactions.

• Lifestyle Perks: Weekend "Buy-1-Get-1-Free" buffet dining offers at selected international hotel chains across Bangladesh, alongside global dining, shopping, and travel offers through the American Express network.
