High-quality gold ornaments are currently retailing at nearly Tk 2.33 lakh per bhori (inclusive of VAT) in the domestic market, while traditional gold jewelry remains priced above Tk 1.56 lakh per bhori. Premium silver ornaments are trading above Tk 5,000 per bhori.

The current rate structure was set by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) effective 10:00 AM on September 12. Local jewelry outlets will continue to sell gold and silver ornaments at these fixed rates until further price adjustments are announced by the association.

Revised Gold and Silver Rate Breakdown

According to the official price chart published by BAJUS, rates per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT stand as follows:

• 22-Carat Gold: Tk 2,32,930 per bhori (highest quality hallmark gold).

• 21-Carat Gold: Tk 2,22,491 per bhori.

• 18-Carat Gold: Tk 1,91,056 per bhori.

• Traditional (Sanatan) Gold: Tk 1,56,064 per bhori.

• 22-Carat Silver: Tk 5,016 per bhori.

• 21-Carat Silver: Tk 4,782 per bhori.

• 18-Carat Silver: Tk 4,082 per bhori.

• Traditional (Sanatan) Silver: Tk 3,091 per bhori.
