According to law enforcement, the flash demonstration—organized under the banner of Mohammadpur Thana Awami League and led by its member secretary Tareqzzaman—marched along Sat Masjid Road past Ibn Sina Hospital before concluding in front of the Bata Showroom around 12:00 PM. Several crude bombs were detonated at the spot, causing panic among local pedestrians and shopkeepers. Dhanmondi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Imdadul Islam Tayyab confirmed that officers apprehended three suspects from the scene while fleeing and seized a promotional banner. Simultaneously, Mohammadpur Police Station OC Abdul Halim confirmed the detention of a fourth suspect in Mohammadpur involved in the escape. Security patrols and intelligence surveillance have been intensified across the Dhanmondi and Mohammadpur zones.
