Savar Model Police Station arrested Md. Monir Hossain, popularly known as "Mobile Monir," vice-president of the Savar sadar union unit of the banned Awami League. He was arrested on Friday afternoon (September 25) around 5:30 PM from the Nabinagar Sena Shopping Complex area in Ashulia and sent to court on Saturday afternoon. Savar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saifullah Alam stated that Monir is a fugitive convict in a Kotwali police station case in Dhaka and faces multiple charges related to student killings and inciting violence in Savar.
