Expressing grave concern over rising incidents of murder, violence, extortion, juvenile gang activity, and political clashes, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has declared that the law and order situation is slipping beyond government control, with internal ruling party feuds further fueling bloodshed.
Speaking at a press conference held at the party's central office in Moghbazar, Dhaka, on Friday, October 30, 2026, Golam Parwar announced that the 11-party alliance will stage a massive 410-kilometer long march from Dhaka to Kushtia via Khulna and Jhenaidah on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The march is organized to press home a 7-point charter of demands, which includes implementing the referendum verdict, ensuring the trial of July genocide perpetrators, curbing essential commodity price hikes, and resolving energy shortages.

He noted that administrative clearance and coordination have been established with police and civil authorities across the Dhaka and Khulna ranges, assuring that traffic disruptions will be minimized by utilizing only one side of the highway. Criticizing persistent corruption and extortion—remarking that "only the identities and party names of extortionists have changed"—he urged the government to summon a session of the Constitution Reform Council during the upcoming November 9 parliamentary session to honor the public's referendum mandate.
The press briefing was attended by prominent central leaders, including Assistant Secretaries General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Dr. A.H.M. Hamidur Rahman Azad, Advocate Moazzem Hossain Helal, and Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubayer, alongside Central Executive Council Members Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand and Mobarak Hossain, and Dhaka North City Amir Mohammad Salim Uddin.
