BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has warned that elements allied with the ousted regime are actively orchestrating subversive activities across Bangladesh to sabotage the elected administration and destabilize public order.

Speaking before distributing dengue awareness leaflets at the Bangladesh Medical University campus in Dhaka on Wednesday (October 7, 2026), Rizvi called for widespread public vigilance against political conspiracies and sabotage. Addressing the growing seasonal health crisis, he stressed that early community awareness and proactive measures are essential to controlling the spread of dengue. Rizvi highlighted directives issued by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman instructing citizens to immediately clear stagnant water around residential premises to destroy Aedes mosquito breeding sites. He noted that the government has made dengue diagnostic testing completely free for the public. Reaffirming that the current government represents the populace and will display zero tolerance toward crime or anarchy, Rizvi also expressed grave skepticism regarding the recent escape of a top criminal from a police van, demanding accountability from law enforcement agencies.
