Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Md. Shafiqur Rahman called for collective efforts to strengthen the presence of Bangladeshi brands like Walton in the international market during a special event hosted by Walton Plaza in Kathmandu on Saturday (September 19).

Speaking as the chief guest at the "Tushar Jatra" event organized at The Soaltee Hotel in the Nepalese capital, Ambassador Rahman highlighted Walton's role in advancing Bangladesh's high-tech manufacturing sector. He noted that by producing world-class electronics, the company is reducing import dependency, conserving foreign exchange, and earning revenue through global exports. He further assured that Bangladeshi diplomats abroad will actively support the international expansion of local brands through economic diplomacy.

The event was attended by SM Mahbubul Alam, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC and Managing Partner of Walton Plaza, along with Praneel Thapa, Chairman of Thapa Business Group, and Pranimesh Thapa, Director of Thapa Business Group. Walton executives reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their market position in Nepal and establishing Walton as a competitive global electronics brand through research, innovation, and long-term local partnerships.
