
Newly appointed member of the parliamentary standing committees on the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dinajpur-5 MP (Parbatipur-Phulbari) Alhaj A.Z.M. Rezwanul Haque has declared that he intends to spearhead comprehensive regional development with the cooperation of all citizens, transcending partisan lines.
He made the remarks on Wednesday evening while addressing a grand civic reception hosted in his honor by residents of the 3 No. Rampur Union at the Jamirhat High School ground in Parbatipur Upazila.
The reception was presided over by former Union BNP President Md. Abu Bakar Siddique Bablu. Prominent attendees included former BNP leaders Akram Hossain, Ohidul Haque, Anisul Haque, Faruq Kazi, Kazi Shamsuzzoha, Mahbubul Haque, and Talebul Islam.
Addressing the gathering, local residents drew the lawmaker's urgent attention to rampant drug proliferation in Rampur union, demanding heightened police surveillance. Speakers also rallied support behind MP Haque ahead of the upcoming union parishad elections. In response, MP Rezwanul Haque assured locals that collective efforts and rigorous administrative monitoring will be deployed to stamp out social blights and accelerate local progress.
