According to them, the lack of regular classes, absence of proper supervision of educational institutions, and apathy among guardians and students caused the pass rate to drop so drastically.
In his reaction regarding the matter, Principal of Pirganj Fazil Madrasa, Mokleshar Rahman, said that examinees had previously received certain flexibilities, which they are no longer getting. Additionally, guardians and students are also indifferent, though he opined that exams should ideally be conducted in this manner.
When contacted on Tuesday regarding the issue, Rangpur District Commissioner (DC) Israt Jahan stated, "We are scrutinizing the reasons behind why the examination results have deteriorated."
