As part of the government-announced initiative, Jatiyatabadi Jubodal has launched a comprehensive awareness and cleanliness campaign in Rangpur to prevent the spread of dengue. Under this program, leaders and activists of the organization will distribute awareness leaflets, spray mosquito-breeding grounds, and conduct cleanup operations across six thana areas in the Rangpur metropolitan region.

The campaign officially commenced on Thursday afternoon (September 17) from the Park's Mor area in Rangpur city.

Organized by the Tajhat Thana Jubodal under the auspices of the Rangpur Metropolitan Jubodal committee, the launching event was attended by Metropolitan Jubodal Convener Nurunnabi Chowdhury Milan, Senior Joint Convener Zahir Alam Noyon, and Member Secretary Atikul Islam Lenin, alongside other leaders from the metropolitan, Tajhat thana, and various ward units.

On the opening day, activists used fogger machines to spray drains to destroy mosquito larvae, cleared garbage from sidewalks, distributed awareness leaflets, and urged people from all walks of life to follow government directives and participate in cleanliness drives.

Jubodal leaders stated that, following directives, the Rangpur Metropolitan Jubodal will carry out such awareness activities across neighborhood localities to ensure collective participation in curbing the dengue outbreak and building a cleaner city.

Meanwhile, Haragach Thana Jubodal is scheduled to conduct the program on Saturday morning (September 19), followed by Parshuram Thana Jubodal in the afternoon. Additionally, Kotwali Thana Jubodal will implement the campaign on Sunday morning (September 20), and Hazirhat Thana Jubodal in the afternoon.

Rangpur Metropolitan Jubodal Senior Joint Convener Zahir Alam Noyon remarked, "Preventing dengue requires not just government initiatives, but active public participation. By building a clean city through concerted efforts, the risk of dengue can be significantly mitigated. Driven by social responsibility, we have undertaken this program to raise public awareness, destroy mosquito-breeding grounds, and foster a clean environment."
