
With the upcoming Union Parishad election drawing near, an air of intense electoral enthusiasm has gripped No. 4 Jaria Union in Purbadhala upazila of Netrokona. Demonstrating widespread public support, popular prospective chairman candidate Imrul Hasan Abhi Talukdar announced his candidacy through a massive motorcycle rally and show of strength.
On Friday afternoon, the grand procession paraded through the main roads and various wards of the union. Featuring hundreds of enthusiastic youths and people from all walks of life riding motorcycles and other vehicles, the area transformed into a festive hub. Starting from Jaria Bazar, the procession wound through key roads and intersections before culminating in a street rally.
As the procession moved forward, local residents greeted Imrul Hasan Abhi Talukdar with slogans. He reciprocated by exchanging pleasantries with commoners, greeting elders, and embracing youth supporters.
In his brief address at the rally, Abhi Talukdar stated, "I have stepped into the field with a dream to serve the people of Jaria Union. Becoming chairman is not my primary objective; establishing people's love and fundamental rights is my main goal. If the people give me the opportunity, I will transform No. 4 Jaria Union into a modern, model union free from drugs, terrorism, and corruption."
He further pledged to dedicate himself to repairing neglected rural roads, ensuring safe drinking water, improving healthcare and education facilities, and creating a favorable sporting environment for the youth, emphasizing that public support and prayers remain his ultimate strength.
Local political figures, social workers, and prominent community members were present at the event. Supporters noted that Abhi Talukdar has consistently stood by the local populace through thick and thin, making him the popular choice for the chairmanship as a clean-imaged youth leader.
