A destitute widow, Bulbuli Begum, and her daughter, Rosina Begum, have been living in constant fear and insecurity for nearly two months inside House No. 35 at the Ashrayan Project adjacent to Bagdirbazar in Velabari Union, Aditmari Upazila, Lalmonirhat.
According to their complaints, fellow project resident Fajor Ali and his father have been continuously pressuring and attempting to evict the mother and daughter from their designated home. Fearing physical assault and threats of violence, the victims have been forced to keep their doors bolted shut for days on end.
Bulbuli Begum stated that the perpetrators have repeatedly threatened to smash their doors open and forcibly drive them out, leaving the family in a state of extreme distress and vulnerability.
To avert any tragic or untoward incident, the vulnerable mother and daughter have urgently called upon local law enforcement agencies and administrative authorities to intervene immediately and guarantee their security.
