Parbatipur Model Police Station arrested three individuals along with 850 pieces of illegal and addictive ampoule injections in Parbatipur, Dinajpur. They were detained during a special drive conducted in the Chhota Brittipara area of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrestees have been identified as Md. Shaon Islam (30), son of the late Ghutu hailing from the Churi Patti area of Dakshin Basudebpur under Hakimpur Upazila; his wife Dipa Akhtar Shirina; and Mehenur Reza (22), son of Jahedul Haq from Chhota Brittipara under Parbatipur Upazila.
According to police sources, Sub-Inspector (SI) Saheb Ali of Parbatipur Model Police Station, along with an accompanying force, conducted a special raid in the Chhota Brittipara area around 3:30 PM on Wednesday. During the operation, 850 pieces of illegal ampoule injections were recovered from their possession.
Abdul Wadud, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Parbatipur Model Police Station, confirmed that a case has been filed against the detainees under the Narcotics Control Act.
