Allocation letters for 70 flats were handed over to the families of military personnel who were martyred or severely injured during the BDR mutiny, UN peacekeeping missions, and various operational and non-operational duties.
The allotment letters were officially presented to the recipient families during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Defence conference room on Tuesday (September 22).
According to an ISPR press release, the flats were allocated in the newly constructed high-rise building 'Aparajita' located at Mirpur DOHS in Dhaka. Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Md. Ashraf Uddin handed over the allocation letters to the family members of the martyrs and injured service personnel. Under government approval and the supervision of the DOHS Central Committee, a total of 156 flats were constructed across two buildings in Mirpur DOHS. Officials from the Ministry of Defence, Military Lands and Cantonments Directorate, Army Headquarters, and Sena Kalyan Constructions & Developments Limited (SKCD) were present at the event, alongside the recipient families. Deep respect was expressed for the sacrifices of the military members, and prayers were offered for the departed souls.
