Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury has stated that the BNP is an anti-communal party that aims to establish equality amidst discrimination, which is why the Hindu community across the country voted for the "Sheaf of Paddy" (Dhanesheesh) in the last parliamentary election to give the party the opportunity to form the government.

He made these remarks while addressing devotees as the chief guest during the first session of the second day of the 139th auspicious appearance day and Porday Purna Snan Mahotsav of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra at the Himaitpur Satsang Ashrama in Pabna on Sunday afternoon (September 20).

The Minister said, "Our history, heritage, and culture are thousands of years old. The fallen government attempted to ruin that culture through filthiness. The current government has established diplomatic and cultural ties with 51 countries. Pabna is a culturally rich district. Our government will explore ways to further enrich the culture of Pabna and the country as a whole. We want to establish unity through culture even in this diverse country of ours."

Quoting the teachings of Thakur Anukul Chandra, the Minister noted that the messages contained in the religious scriptures of all faiths are meant for human welfare, and the advice given by Thakur Anukul Chandra likewise serves humanity. He did not believe in caste discrimination and dedicated his life to praising humanity, which is why devotees across the globe, transcending the subcontinent, continue to venerate him.
