State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. M A Muhit has urged the opposition parties to abandon luxury motorcades and photo-op politics, calling on them to join hands with the government to clean up local community waste as well as the overarching "debris left behind by fascism" across Bangladesh.
Speaking as a special guest on Saturday morning, October 31, 2026, at the inauguration of the Dhaka North City Corporation’s (DNCC) Mobile Fever Clinic service at Mirpur Adarsha High School grounds, Dr. Muhit criticized the opposition's reliance on large rallies and motorcades. "Ditch going on luxury long drives with 1,500 cars. Come out with the public to clean up local garbage and debris. Not just local waste—let us together, government and opposition, clean up the debris that fascism has left across the nation," Dr. Muhit stated. He added that holding brooms for early-morning photo sessions for a day or two is insufficient, urging a transition to genuine public service politics.
