The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has appointed new Officers-in-Charge (OC) for both Gulshan Model Police Station and Banani Police Station as part of an administrative reshuffle.
The transfers were formalized through an official order signed by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Shahriar Ali on Wednesday (September 23, 2026). According to the order, Inspector Abuzayed Md. Nazmun Nur, previously serving at DMP LineOR, has been posted as the new OC of Gulshan Model Police Station. Simultaneously, Inspector Md. Salauddin, also from DMP LineOR, has been assigned as the OC of Banani Police Station.
Additionally, the outgoing Officer-in-Charge of Banani Police Station, Md. Faridul Islam, has been transferred to the Detective Branch (DB) of the DMP. The official notification emphasized that the transfer directives take immediate effect across all specified administrative units.
